One platform vs. a portfolio of products
ECI describes MarkSystems as its ERP for production and semi-custom builders, “built on a single platform” and managing “all phases of home construction from prospecting to warranty.”[9] Around it, ECI offers other separately named products for homebuilders. ECI announced several of them as acquisitions:
- MarkSystems (formerly IHMS): the ERP. ECI’s January 2018 rebranding release says ECI completed its acquisition of the business the year before.[20]
- Internet ToolKit (ITK): a MarkSystems tool that ECI describes as a “fully integrated, cloud-based project management program,” with dashboards for field staff, trades and homebuyers.[6]
- Lasso CRM: homebuilder CRM, acquired December 2018.[13][21]
- LotVue: interactive site maps and online lot reservations.[14]
- Insearch: online and virtual design center, acquired November 2021.[15][23]
- AvidCX, AvidWarranty and HomeKeep: customer experience, warranty and homeowner products from Avid Ratings, acquired November 2024.[16][17][18][24]
- Cognytics Executive BI Dashboard: business intelligence views shown inside MarkSystems.[19]
ECI connects these products through pre-built integrations and the MarkSystems API, and describes two-way integrations with LotVue, Insearch and Lasso CRM.[2][7][22] In February 2026, ECI and Higharc also announced a partner integration between Higharc and MarkSystems.[25]
ThreadKore was built in-house. BuildingBlocks, MyPM, theHOMESapp, Purchasing, AP Launch, ARLaunch, JobCloser and Orbit are parts of one Business Operating System, using a shared database and data models and contributing to one shared System of Record. theHOMESapp records plans, options, retail pricing and signatures; Purchasing works from the agreed scope, connecting selection decisions with purchasing and financial information.
Questions worth asking any vendor: How many logins will each role need? How many data models will your admins maintain? When a selection changes, which system holds the master record, and how does the change reach the PO and the ledger?

Who should consider switching, and who shouldn’t
ThreadKore is likely a fit if
- You run separate tools for CRM, lots, design center, ERP and warranty, and want one record across the business.
- Your CFO needs projected margin for each home, including the costs to build, hold and sell, plus a cash outlook tied to construction.
- You want AI that works from your own operating and financial record (Orbit).
- You want to agree a connected implementation and support plan with ThreadKore.
- You build production, semi-custom, custom, build-for-rent or build-on-your-lot homes.
MarkSystems may be the better choice if
- MarkSystems and its connected products serve you well, and switching would cost more effort than it’s worth.
- You depend on public interactive lot maps, online reservations, homebuyer survey benchmarking, AI warranty triage or a homeowner maintenance app. Review current ThreadKore availability before considering a change.
- You rely on the Higharc–MarkSystems integration. Bring that workflow to a ThreadKore demo to review your requirements and any available connections.
- You need a ThreadKore capability marked “coming soon” before its planned date.

Switching from MarkSystems: what moves and how
Records to discuss in your migration scope
- Opening balances, chart of accounts and the history you need for reporting
- Active jobs, budgets and open commitments (POs and variant POs)
- Communities, lots, units and addresses
- Plans, options, packages and retail pricing
- Vendors, vendor pricing and compliance documents
- Customers, contracts and selections on homes under construction
Your proposal defines which migration services are included or scoped separately. ECI documents a MarkSystems reporting database and API.[7][8] Confirm with ECI how exports work under your agreement.
Typical steps
- Understand workflows and scope. Identify your builder model, active work, priorities and process owners. Agree which teams and products go first.
- Plan configuration and migration. Review source systems, opening balances, active jobs, vendor records and history. Agree the mapping and who prepares and checks each record.
- Validate data and prepare users. Reconcile agreed balances, review sample jobs and walk through key tasks with process owners.
- Launch and support adoption. Agree the cutover, support contacts, escalation path and adoption reviews.
Timeline: Timing depends on scope, source data and the teams going live. Your proposal sets the responsibilities, migration services, training, timing and post-launch support.
What builders say about one platform
These are experiences with ThreadKore, not claims that these builders switched from MarkSystems. Reviewers were not paid or given special pricing in exchange for these testimonials.
“By bringing every major function, from sales, purchasing, construction, finance, land development, customer care, and executive reporting under one ERP platform, we’ve created a true single source of truth for our organization.”
Landmark 24 Homes · Savannah, GA
“ThreadKore helped us to transform from a team who had different data sets for each department to being on the same data set in real time. ThreadKore has been instrumental in tightening our cycle time, protecting our margins, and giving us the ability to scale.”
Landmark Fine Homes · Norman, OK
“Before ThreadKore, we relied on multiple disconnected systems that created inefficiencies and made it difficult to trust our data. Today, everything—from CRM and sales to scheduling, trade allocation, accounting, and warranty—is integrated into a single platform.”
Manuel Builders · Lafayette, LA
“Prior to implementing ThreadKore, we were running multiple systems that never talked to each other very well. Frequently asked questions
What is a good MarkSystems alternative for homebuilders?
ThreadKore is a MarkSystems alternative for homebuilders who want one platform and one shared record for sales, selections, estimating, purchasing, construction, native accounting and customer experience, with Orbit AI working across that record. It is built for production, semi-custom, custom, build-for-rent and build-on-your-lot builders.
How is ThreadKore different from ECI MarkSystems?
MarkSystems is ECI’s ERP for production and semi-custom builders. ECI also sells separately branded products for CRM (Lasso CRM), lot maps (LotVue), online design centers (Insearch), and customer experience, warranty and homeowner tools (AvidCX, AvidWarranty, HomeKeep), which it connects through integrations. ThreadKore connects available workflows through one Business Operating System, with BuildingBlocks native accounting and Orbit AI; roadmap capabilities are labeled coming soon. Competitor source materials are dated October 11, 2026; that is a supplied source date, not a claim of completed independent verification.
Is MarkSystems one product or several?
ECI describes MarkSystems as an ERP built on a single platform that covers prospecting through warranty. ECI’s wider homebuilder offering also includes separately branded products. Several joined ECI through announced acquisitions: Lasso CRM in 2018, Insearch in 2021, and Avid Ratings (AvidCX, AvidWarranty, HomeKeep) in 2024. ECI connects these products to MarkSystems through pre-built integrations and an API.
Can we move our data from MarkSystems to ThreadKore?
Yes, as part of an agreed migration scope. A typical plan covers opening balances, active jobs, vendor records, communities and lots, plans and options, and the history you need for reporting. ECI documents a MarkSystems reporting database and API. Confirm with ECI how exports work under your agreement. Your ThreadKore proposal defines what is migrated, who prepares and checks it, and how balances are reconciled.
How long does it take to switch from MarkSystems to ThreadKore?
Timing depends on your scope, data and number of teams going live. Your proposal and implementation plan set the timeline, responsibilities, training and post-launch support.
We use Higharc with MarkSystems. What happens if we switch?
ECI and Higharc announced a Higharc–MarkSystems integration on February 12, 2026. Bring your Higharc workflow to a demo to review your plans, options and pricing requirements, currently available connections, and what would change in a proposed move to ThreadKore.
Does ThreadKore include AI?
Yes. Orbit is available today. It analyzes the connected operational and financial record so teams can investigate changes, follow a variance and compare homes or communities. Orbie supports clients. APLaunch.AI, for AI-assisted invoice preparation, is coming soon. Approvals and financial decisions stay with authorized users.
Who should stay on MarkSystems?
Builders who are well served by MarkSystems and its connected products may not gain enough from switching to justify the effort. Review your requirements and current availability with ThreadKore, especially if you depend on public interactive lot maps, homebuyer survey benchmarking, AI warranty triage, a homeowner maintenance app or the Higharc–MarkSystems integration. Do not assume these requirements are covered without confirming the proposed scope.
Have builders switched from MarkSystems to ThreadKore?
Yes. ThreadKore customers include builders who moved from MarkSystems. The testimonials on this page describe general ThreadKore experiences and do not identify a reviewer’s previous platform.
Is threadkore.com built and hosted on WebLaunchAI?
Yes. threadkore.com is built and hosted on WebLaunchAI, ThreadKore’s website design and hosting tool, available in beta.
